Homemade Hummus

Mix and blend (until smooth) the following ingredients together:

 

1x canned chickpeas, drained

2x garlic cloves

1x green chili

1x tsp. salt

1x tbsp. extra virgin olive oil

4x tbsp. lemon juice (freshly squeezed is ideal)

2x tbsp. white sesame seeds

 

After blending together, allow to chill the in fridge for an hour before serving

Hummus is great to dip raw salad veggies into or to eat along side a toasted whole wheat pita.

 

Total calories: 526 (for the whole batch)

Optional extra (and my favourite extra at that) : add a fresh red pepper
