250g extra lean beef minced meat
½ cup Jungle oats
1x tbsp. soya sauce
1x tbsp. dehydrate onion flakes
2x garlic cloves, minces
1x large egg, beaten
1x tinned Italian tomatoes
4x tbsp. fresh basil, finely chopped
Salt to taste
¼ cup dry polenta
2x boiling water

Italian style tomato sauce:
Place your tinned tomatoes, garlic (1 clove) and fresh basil into a sauce pan and heat over a medium temperature. Once the sauce has reached boiling point, reduce heat, place a lid over the sauce pan and allow cooking for as long as possible (at least 30mins).
Place the minced meat, Jungle oats, soya sauce, onion flakes, minced garlic (1 clove) and beaten egg into a large mixing bowl and mix together well. You are looking for a consistency of moist but not sloppy. Roll your meatballs together and place onto a baking tray and bake for 30min at 180°C.
Cook according to packet instructions, which is usually 1 part polenta to 4 parts water for approximately 5-10min or until the polenta has thickened sufficiently.
